Birthday Beach Trip, Part 1!
Today we left for Manuel Antonio, a National Park on the south side of Costa Rica, next to the Pacific Ocean. I hadn't ever set anything up like this before, and I wasn't quite familiar with the bus system yet, so I'm really happy that a couple of the SOLmates that were with us could help me navigate our group of 15 first toward the bus terminal in San José, and then to the hostel that we rented rooms in.
The 3 hour bus trip was beautiful, but I hadn't accounted for how hot it would be on the coast. by the time that we got to Manuel Antonio, we were all thankful that we could go for a swim before it got dark. We went out to dinner around 8, and then back to the hostel to just hang out for the night. We had gotten our tickets to go back to Heredia tomorrow, and we were exhausted, but thankful that our room has a fan in it.
