Jade Museum

We went to our first museum for class today! We left for San José and got to the Jade Museum around 9:30, half an hour before the museum opened. Some of us hung out on the benches outside the doors, and others went in search of coffee or a panadería. Before to long, we were ushered inside one of the capitals most modern museums.

This museum had 6 floors dedicated to exhibits showing pre-colombian customs, life, and animals that inhabit the areas during the day and at night. I took several pictures, but it's much better to visit the museum in person. Mama Tica says that the museums are usually very expensive to get into, but I think it was only $8 or so. That's not what I owuld call expensive for a museum.

We ended getting back to Heredia way later than class ended, but I was happy with the time that we got to spend in the 8 or so different rooms that we could explore indigenous culture.
