Artisan Market of San José

We actually went to San José today, and I finished getting souvenirs! And several other things that I probably didn't need, but eh, Pura Vida. Two of the other SOLmates and I took a bus around 11 this morning, and I went with them while they quickly stopped to quickly get tickets for their trip this coming weekend. And then...

(drum roll please)

We got to the Artisan Market! Coincidentally, it's right next to the first museum that we went to last module, so I was kind of familiar with the area. Anyway, From the outside, this building looks like it would take about 10 minutes to browse through. WRONG. We were there for probably close to two hours. There's so many things! And they're all beautiful! Sometimes the vendors tried to talk to us in English, but when we responded in Spanish, the look on their face was filled with relief.

Here are just a few of the things that are sold in the market:

wallets, shirts (tank tops, t-shirts, and sweatshirts), jewelry, pants, shorts, musical instruments, more jewelry, postcards, pens, wine racks, placemats, aprons, and did I mention that there was jewelry? We had a lot of fun perusing, and it's somewhere I would go again if/when I come back to Costa Rica
